We started the morning with a wonderful Appreciation Breakfast to celebrate our amazing hourly staff, and it was a perfect way to kick off the day!
A huge thank you to our School Board members — Jason Rios, Seth Powell, Bubba Damon, Glenn Miles and Joann Garza-Mayberry — for sponsoring today’s breakfast.
Every board member contributed this week, and we are grateful for the collective support they continue to show our team.
Luling ISD is stronger because of the people who care so deeply about our staff and students.

We’re excited to announce that Elley Kessler’s artwork was selected as this year’s official Luling ISD Christmas card, shared with educators and partners across the state!
Elley’s creativity shines, and we surprised her with a gift bag filled with new art supplies to keep that talent growing.
A big thank you to Mrs. Davis, our JH art teacher, for inspiring and supporting Elley and so many young artists.

This morning, our students showed incredible heart at Wreaths Across America.
Shanklin Student Council, Athletics, TSA, Key Club, the HS Student Council, members of our School Board, and Superintendent Warren all showed up to honor and remember those who served. Watching our students and leaders stand side-by-side for something so meaningful is a powerful reminder of what service and community look like in action.

This morning, our campus will conduct a lockdown drill. The purpose of this drill is for students and staff to practice processes and procedures should an emergency on campus occur. Teachers will review the processes and procedures for a lockdown drill with your students prior to the drill. One lockdown drill is required each semester for all schools in Texas.

Luling ISD proudly hosted our Veterans Day Program, a heartfelt tribute to the brave men and women who have served our country. Our 3rd–5th grade students sang patriotic songs, the Luling High School Band performed beautifully, and local Luling veterans were recognized for their service and sacrifice.
A special thank you to Ms. Evelyn Hernandez for once again organizing such a meaningful event. Her dedication and attention to detail make this ceremony a highlight of every school year. 💚

Safety First at Luling ISD 💚
This morning, district and campus staff met to review our Emergency Operations Plan, ensuring everyone understands their role in the event of an emergency. Preparation and clear communication are key to keeping our students and staff safe.
Regular training like this helps us stay ready for anything—because nothing is more important than the safety and well-being of our Eagle family.
