Per the Governor's most recent mask mandate, masks will become optional for all students and staff beginning Tuesday, June 1, 2021.
LISD expresses its strong support for encouraging students attending summer school and staff who are in direct contact with students to continue to wear face coverings. Contact tracing and quarantining are still required by districts. Possible COVID-19 exposure and quarantine could disrupt summer school for some students, including retaking the STAAR EOCs for high school students.
Our commitment to student and staff safety is top priority.
Safety protocols that remain in place will be:
-hand sanitizing stations,
-frequent cleaning of high touch areas,
-frequent hand washing; as well as,
-working with our partners to offer vaccines to those who are eligible.
