Safety

The state of Texas implemented random Safety Intruder Audits in response to the  May shooting in Uvalde.  Luling ISD recently encountered a visit from a TEA Safety Auditor.  The Safety Intruder Audit process includes an individual from the state: 1) attempting to get into the school building through any unlocked exterior door or window, 2) formally registering as a visitor in the front office to be escorted within the building to ensure interior doors are shut and locked, and finally, 3) inspecting the Weekly Exterior Door Audit logs.  We are proud to announce that Luling ISD passed the Texas Safety Audit.

We are extremely thankful that our staff remains focussed on the safety of each student as education continues every day.  Administrators' daily inspections are enhanced by teachers' hourly checks. Special thanks to our Campus Administrators and District Maintenance Teams for their daily focus and continuous communication.

As Mrs. Warren shared in the September ENews, "Our schools should be places where parents want their children to be, where they know their children are safe and cared for, and where they know their child will be expected to grow academically."
