Shanklin Elementary was entertained by the fourth grade students and staff by hosting an "Idiom Parade!" The fourth grade students were highly creative in designing props and costumes to portray an idiom of their choice. What is idiom you may ask? An idiom is a phrase that does not literally mean what it says. Part 1

After reading "Mango, Abuela, and Me", a heartwarming story about a parrot who helped a granddaughter and grandmother communicate, Ms. Johnson's class wrote letters to the principal asking for a class pet. Ms. Meshell surprised them with a chatty parrot they named Mango. They're excited to learn together!
