At the October meeting of the Luling ISD Board of Trustees, we had the pleasure of recognizing outstanding students and staff members who continue to make a positive impact across our district. In addition, the Board proudly recognized members of the National Elementary Honor Society, honoring their commitment to scholarship, responsibility, service, and leadership. Our Eagles are Corpus Christi bound!

This afternoon, our Varsity Boys Cross Country team and our standout Varsity Girls runner, Aurora Jones, hit the road on their way to the Regional Meet! These athletes have trained with heart and Zero Quit all season long — and tomorrow, they’ll proudly represent Luling ISD on the course in Corpus Christi.

Today the Luling ISD District Success Team came together to collaborate and make strategic decisions that will guide the district’s continued growth and success. Through thoughtful discussion and shared commitment, the team is working to ensure that every decision supports student achievement and strengthens the district’s vision for the future.

It’s Big Kahuna Fundraiser time at Shanklin Elementary!
Today we kicked off our exciting Dino World fundraiser on campus. Students have two weeks to sell items to friends and family to help raise money for our school. Be sure to register online so you can sell from the comfort of your home! Don’t forget to turn in your tickets as you make sales to earn your Dino World Collectible!

Shanklin Elementary’s Cafeteria is celebrating National School Lunch Week in style! This week, students are going “Around the World” with delicious meal selections from different countries. A big thank-you to our amazing cafeteria staff for broadening our students’ experiences and bringing fun and flavor to the lunchroom!

From October 6–24, GJH & LHS Student Councils are hosting Penny Wars to raise money for Pink Warrior Advocates. Every coin makes a difference in the fight against breast cancer.
